🌿 Introduction to Ayurveda

Ayurveda, often called the “Science of Life,” is an ancient system of natural healing that originated in India more than 5,000 years ago. Rooted in the principles of balance between the body, mind, and spirit, Ayurveda emphasizes prevention as much as cure. Unlike modern medicine, which often focuses on treating symptoms, Ayurveda works to identify and address the root cause of illness.

According to Ayurvedic philosophy, every individual is unique, defined by a combination of three fundamental energies or doshasVata, Pitta, and Kapha. When these doshas are in balance, a person experiences good health; when imbalanced, disease and discomfort arise.

Ayurveda promotes wellness through:

  1. Diet & Nutrition tailored to one’s body type
  2. Herbal remedies for natural healing
  3. Daily routines (Dinacharya) and seasonal practices (Ritucharya)
  4. Yoga, meditation, and breathing exercises for mental clarity
  5. Detox therapies like Panchakarma for cleansing and rejuvenation
